Scottish Inspired Clubhouse

The Clubhouse at Sleepy Ridge - Orem Utah
Inspired by the Home of Golf
The Sleepy Ridge developer took a trip to Scotland, the home of golf, and came back with grand ideas for a classic clubhouse. The finished design looks remarkably like the majestic clubhouses from Scotland. Clubhouse revenues through rental fees for activities such as weddings, dances, and other event plus the leases on office space are helping to pay for the golf course.

They have a 40-year lease in which the owners can try to recoup their investments rent-free. After the lease is up the entire course and clubhouse will belong to Orem City.

Sleepy Ridge Golf Course Review

11th Hole at The Links at Sleepy Ridge - Photo by Weston Colton
Stunning Views, Challenging Holes
The course was crafted by Matt Dye of Dye designs, the nephew of famed golf architect Pete Dye. While Pete did not lay this one out himself, the quality routing of the course is apparent form the first hole.
The front nine opens with a string strong holes, which will get you going on the right foot. The front seven demand plenty of different shot options and will prepare you for number 8, a medium par 4 with a large lake guarding the right side.
The real teeth of Sleepy Ridge awakens on the back nine, and the adrenaline really jumps at the par 4 Eleventh. It's beautiful hole from the tee that will make you deliberate how to best navigate the obstacles. The back-nine winds through wetlands, and water features that provides many strategic shot options.
