Orem Public Library - City of Orem Library
The Orem Public Library is one of the most popular libraries in Utah. It houses more than 285,000 items in 62,939 square feet, including books, CD's, DVDs, and periodicals. More than 1.4 million items are checked out annually. This library also hosts the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival and holds it own readings and performances. Orem built its current city complex with an adjacent library in 1969. Thanks to the donations of the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival and resident Karen Ashton, a children’s wing was added in 1995.

- DVDs/Videos with four or more discs: 2 week checkout, $.50 fee per disc, 1 week renewal

Storytime at the Orem Public Library - Orem UT
The Children’s Collection is the largest in the State of Utah, with 97,000 children’s books, pamphlets, magazines and read-alongs. Librarian assisted Internet access is available in the Children’s reference area along with multi-media CD-ROM databases designed for children such as National Geographic Atlas.
Laptime: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 10:00am in Ship's Cove. A 20 minute program for babies, toddlers & their caregivers with songs, fingerplays & short stories to introduce our youngest patrons to the world of words.
Storytime: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 10:30am in the Storytelling Wing. A 30 minute program for preschoolers & young school age children with stories, puppets & activities to engage youngsters & highlight the joys of books & storytelling.
Music and Movement Storytime: Join us each Monday at 10:00 AM in the Storytelling Wing for this new storytime featuring books, musical instruments, songs, finger-plays, and dance.
Bilingual Storytime: Once a month, come experience a special bilingual session of story time! Talented storytellers introduce the audience to words & phrases in Spanish through terrific books & music.

To obtain an Orem Library card:
- Be 18 years old or at least 5 years old with a parent or legal guardian in attendance
- Reside in Orem or Provo (Nonresidents are required to pay a nonresident fee)
- Provide proof of current address
- If you don't have an Orem Library account and are a resident of Orem or Provo, you can obtain a Orem Public Library card.
